Sometimes prices differ by country. Whether a VPN reliably saves you money is a different, much weaker claim.
Why prices can differ
Airlines, hotels and software companies sometimes set prices by market, currency or "point of sale." Some sites also show different prices to signed-in users or returning visitors. Changing your virtual location can therefore change what you see.
Why savings aren't guaranteed
- Many differences come from currency conversion, taxes and fees that even out at checkout.
- Some bookings require a payment card or address from the same country.
- Terms of sale and consumer protections may follow the country you appear to buy from.
If you want to test it yourself
- Compare the identical itinerary or room, on the same day, in a private window.
- Compare the final total, including fees, in one currency.
- Note the date and keep screenshots. Prices move quickly.
We'll publish our own comparisons as we run them, including the ones that show no difference.
The short versionTreat location-based pricing as an experiment, not a feature. We won't recommend a VPN on the promise of cheaper travel.
